Analysis

Social Structure 

At the top of the pyramid is Scar, then the Hyenas, then Simba, then, the lionesses, then Timon and Pumba.

Role 

Simba's role as king, means that he is the one to search for new things, and spread his wisdom to others. He is also teaches lessons and overall just be a leader.

Master Status 

An example of Master Status in the movie would be Hakuna Matata. After Timon and Pumba teach young Simba about Hakuna Matata and what is means. Simba uses that metaphor and it kind of shaping his personality and life.

Role Expectations

Some role expectations for Simba would be to be like Mufasa in everyway possible. To be wise, smart, strong, and determined.

Role Set 

Since Simba's role is King, being King have many other roles attached to it. For example, being King means other roles would be the Decision Maker, and the Influencer.

Role Strain 

A good example of Role Strain would be happen Simba has the decision to make whether he should going back to Pride Rock and become the rightful King or stay with Timon and Pumba living with Hakuna Matata.

Which vocab word has the biggest influence on Simba's self? Why?

I think that the biggest influence would be his Master Status. Simba's master status is Hakuna Matata. I think Hakuna Matata had the biggest impact in his life because it shaped his personality, and how he rules as king.

Status 

Simba's status, is that he is the king, a ruler. That means that he has power over everyone and everything.

Achieved Status 

Simba's achieved status would be when he beat his uncle Scar for King of Pride Rock. Simba was handed the role king when his father Mufasa died but Scar chased him away. Which made Scar king, then when Simba came back he had to fight for his rightful place.

Reciprocal Roles 

Simba's has many reciprocal roles, but one example would Nala. Nala helps Simba find who he is. Then Simba helps Nala by defeating Scar and saving the Pride Rock.

Role Performance 

Simba's society is a group of lions called a pride. Lions are carnivore they eat meat. When Simba start to eat bugs rather than meat, that goes again his own society.

Role Conflict

One of Simba's role conflict would be Scar. Scar chases Simba away cause Simba to not be king when he is the rightful leader of Pride Rock. Another role conflict would be Timon and Pumba, they want Simba to stay with them and protect, leading Simba to be full of Hakuna Matata.

An example of a social institution would be The Pride.
